TD Jakes Son Arrested
62The 29-year-old son of popular TV evangelist T.D. Jakes was arrested back in January after allegedly masturbating in front of a Vice Cop.
According to a Dallas Police report, Jermaine Jakes was charged with indecent exposure on Jan. 3 after the incident at Keist Park.
The police stated that TD Jakes' son walked up to a detective with his pants unzipped. He masturbated while making eye contact the entire time with the detective. He should have hired escorts it would have been cheaper.
Let's hope it didn't last long.
His son should watch this video of his father about fighting the devil!

Y is it that the devil is so busy, Y is it that people always trying to bring down others when things are lookin good.
I beleive the devil trys to lure families and uses our children or anything important to us as instuments of attack. I feel Bishop should not have to make apologies for his son's acton. THis son is 29 years old- let him speak for himself. We can grow and admonish our kids in the right and God-fearing way but it is totally up to the kids to remain focus on these innate values and attitudes - and God forbid, they depart-- We did our part!!!!.
For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. God forbid our dirty laundry is aired for the world to see. Thank God for forgiveness. We need to pray not pry.
We all need to be very watychful and prayerful too. i think this got nothing to do with the man of God Bishop T.D Jakes. But if i should say something, i will say even as we are one body in Christ Jesus, we should pray for oone another. so lets jion the man of God in prayers and together we will put the devil to shame.

Qualifications for Overseers
3:1 The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. 2 Therefore an overseer [1] must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, [2] sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, 5 for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.
A Bishop is supposed to rule his house well and keep his children submissive, but Jakes son isnt a child, he is an adult and im sure he lives on his own. Jakes aint resonsible for a grown mans actions Phil.
I would only be concerned about T.D. Jakes Son's motives for the type of sexual in nature gesture he made to the vice cop?
Let us keep the young man in prayer that the sexual in nature gesture he made, that we pray that would be his first and last and make a quick if possible, a life-change, and a mind-change.
Sometimes are young men never grow up and put away childish things/actions, that T.D. Jakes & Serita Jakes raised their Son 1 Time. They can not raise him a 2nd time. They can only now provide him with constructive criticism and continue to be a support system, not raise him a 2nd time. When he became an adult, that was when he should put away childish thoughts/acts/toys. I'm not saying that T.D. Jakes and Serita Jakes abandon their son because that would be cruel to say. Just continue to be a support system that he eventually will stop in his tracks, listen to the people who truly love him and have his best interest at heart, and make a positive turn around.
If the devil can't reach the Pastor, the devil goes after the children. The Bishop and his family is hurting. As believers we need to pray and fast for the Jakes family. As for his son he has to come to himself and ask God to help him. The Lord doesn't take anything from us we have to surrender and the Lord will do the rest.
Okay let put this in perspective. The bishop is not blind to his son's behavior nor does he have to take issue with it either. His son is grown and is responsible for his own actions. I am sure that as man of God he has unconditional love for his son. He is also aware that this behavior was not learned but innate since his conseption. I am sure that his sermons on the subject of same sex relationships were and are a struggle for the parent of a gay man. Being gay does not make his son any less of a person nor him less of a pastor. It is what it is. LIFE!

Charles you are so right, God does warn us and distruction comes after that. TD Jakes is a hypocrit himslef so it stands to reason that the rest will fall in line behind him. If they would only open their ears and hear him as he speaks and not be over taken by the show he puts on they would see him for who he truly is. Preachers are not to be served they are infact here to serve, I guess the hypocrites forgot about Jesus and the washing of the feet. To bad they don't study the word more often. This is why I an not a fan of any man, because fans are just followers, I only follow Christ and I am a fan of him word.
Good morning, The word of God says judge not, unless you be judge. What we have to remember is this, 1. those thst are saved we are to restore him by praying for him. Why is it everytime some one gets in trouble bring want to bring them down first. We can train our children up the right way, sometimes they chose another way to go. His son knows the right way and when we are born we no right from wrong. Those of us who have children or working with them when they are babies they do things to see how far they can go. Like, how many of us have seen children put them hands near the stove, touch a light socket. try to run out in the street. And on and on. My son is now being charge with arm robbery. And my husband and I are both preachers of the gosple of Jesus Christ. Now did we teach him the right way yes. Did he chose to listen to the teaching NO. What are children do is not always on us. Has any one every thought about what this might be doing to his parents. They are very well noticeable people. My son problem was hanging with the wrong people and it was the wrong time. For those who care and can pray please do, because he is running from his call. But he will sevre the Lord. sometimes God will use the enemy the devil to put you in a situation so that you will yield. MY son wanted to go out the 8th of this month dec 2009. To take care of his friends at first I wasn't and talk him down for 2 hours, telling him he needed to be at home. but I know him he would have waited until I was sleep and left anyway. So I said ok he call me the next day and told me he was locked up for something that happened in Nov. So he may or may not beleive it he walk right into what God wanted him to do anyway. When God wants you, and has called you please answer willfully. Put your hands in the air just like if he was the police. So for those that God has called it is better for you to do as he ask, and not run. Pray for my son that this will be cast out of court, and that he will fall into his call and back in love with jesus and run for Jesus and stay on that path. He is a good young man 18 years old has not started living lif yet and don't know what it is about. He should have a 2 chance on life. And so should Bishop Mr. and Mrs. Jakes son. Unity and the Love of Christ is what the devil is after. Let us as the church do the new thing, pray and stand in the gap for this family. Let us stop with the high and mighty attitudes that the Lord clearly says is a foul stench in His nostrils. The pointing of fingers like we don't have problems. Believe this who better than the saints of God children. When you are working for the Lord you better be watchful. The word of God says to watch as well as pray. So when the hand of the enemy come you already see him coming and then you start rebuking him on the min.. The bible has never blamed the sin of one on their forefathers.Their curses we bring upon ourselves for not trusting and believing in the lord's guidance in our lives.We need to pray for Jermaine to devote his remaining precious life to this cause.God bless you all.
Jermain is a big and full grown man, he would have heard his father preach the precious word of God, and of God's grace. I do believe Bishop would havd taught his childredn in the way their must go, God's way, and having down that, then we ought now to worry, for the bible says train up a child in the way he must go, and when he is old he'll not depart from it. Jermain was trained and he will find his way back to the Lord, for the word is hidden his heart. I only do hope he does find his way soon before it's too late.
It's sad that he had to put his father through that shame, and sometime we need to know when and how we accuse the devil, Jermain knows right from wrong, the devil goes about seeking whom he may devour, jermain made himself available. I do believe with all my heart he will find his way to the Lord. I know this is an old post, but I still wanted to say something. I am a missionary kid and I have known many missionary kids and preachers kids. I don't know why but it just seems that the devil hits those families much harder with kids on drugs, pregnancies etc. I went through my fair share of "preacher kid" activities. The Lord always seems to bring us back to him and back in unity with our families. It just takes time and prayer. Then you better watch out cause they come back stronger than ever!!!
It's very sad to think a well known T.V. preachers kid was picked up for public masterbating in front of a decoy law enforcement officer. May I suggest we all pray for the young man so that he can get a grip on his hormones. It must have been humiliating to The members of The Potters House Fellowship.

I'm reminding of Jesus when He said in the book of Matthew 10:34-39. He is informing us that in one household there will be division. The son against the father and a man's foes shall be they of his own household. it goes on to say that a daughter against her mother and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Phineas and Hophni,who profaned the sacrifices. Is no wonder that T.D Jake's son would dare to do something as dreadful as this. No respect for authorities. the devil has no respect of person. He knows his time is just about up, and will soon be destroyed once and for all. In the book of 2 Thessalonians 2:8 The Lord will destroy Satan with the brightness of His coming. Satan was defeated at the cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was buried and rose again the third day and is at the right hand of God the father almighty.
this does not effect T.D.Jake's Ministry. I believe it just affect him as a father who cares for his son.

I don't htink this is any of our business, for if any of us have children we are not exempt of anyhthing that they can do. No matter who we are the devil don't ca re if he can't get you he will go through our children. We just to need to be prayerful and the Jakes up in prayer.
